Holiday Kitchen in Full Effect

16 pounds of what later???{Gift Baskets Spokane, WA}

What could that be?  16 pounds of butter later that is.  I was asked to put together several gift baskets this year and I got so slammed with business. I am grateful for the work and the timing but when it rains it pours.  Here is a little list of some of my ingredients:

1. 16 pounds of butter
2. 10 pounds of chocolate chips
3. a 5 gallon bucket of flour
4. 140 mini scones
5. ???? feet of ribbon
6. a floor full of glitter that I am still sweeping up

A warm thank you to Mary Giannini and Allan Maruji for thinking of me for creating holiday baskets for you.  And giant thank yous to Brandon, Mags, Mom, Betty, Alicia & Derek, Anniece, Joleene, Jamie, my kids and to everyone else who helped make this happen for me. Thankgiving Feast with Friends {Spokane, WA Carter}

 

 We got together with friends the weekend before Thanksgiving and had an adult dinner party. We had great food and a lot of fun.  I had a great time decorating and making one large dinner table for all 16 of us.

For my name place cards I made little festive lemon sandwich cookies for everyone to enjoy before the dinner.

Baby Shower for Baby "C" {Spokane, WA Carter}

This shower was put on for a friend expecting a second baby girl.  It was put together by a close friend of mine Anniece Barker from The Cake Stand 

and myself.

 

 We pooled our resources and put together a Nest theme and filled her home with diapers and books.

At the shower we had people fill in their own little wishes for this new precious baby.

Melt Aways (on my menu) are one of my favorites and they never get old.  We gave our guests little bags of pink peppermint and yellow lemon melt aways.

 On the savory side we served caprese salads and samosa phyllo nests with sweet chili sauce.  We also had a delicious spinach artichooke dip and deviled eggs.

Anniece put together this beautiful diaper cake for mommy.

Among my favorites this holiday is this super yummy white chocolate cranberry cheesecake with shortbread crust and an orange sauce.

 Cake pops and truffles are all the rage this year and we love them just as much as everyone else.  Here are some additional photos from the shower.
